Herzlich Willkommen in Simmering !

Unser Appartment befindet sich im Hochparterre eines typischen Altwiener Wohnhauses,
Baujahr 1900, in Zentrumsnähe (11. Bezirk), in verkehrsgünstig gelegener,
aber dennoch ruhiger Wohngegend.

Verkehrslage / Aktivitäten:

In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich Haltstellen der U-Bahn U3
(ca. 10 Minuten bis Stephansplatz - City) und der Strassenbahn Linie 71
(15 Min. bis Belvedere, Schwarzenbergplatz/Ring, Karlsplatz,...).

Gratisparken ist möglich (keine Kurzparkzone).
Gleich in der Nähe verlaufen die Radwege in in die Innenstadt und in den Prater.
Für mitgebrachte Fahrräder gibt es eine Abstellmöglichkeit im hauseigenen Fahrradabstellraum.
In unmittelbarer Nähe unseres Hauses befindet sich ein Park.

Einkaufsmöglichkeiten:
im näheren Umkreis gibt es einige Supermärkte und Lebensmittelgeschäfte;
grösseres Shopping läßt sich auf den Geschäften der Simmeringer Hauptstrasse und
im Einkaufszentrum Simmering (Strassenbahn Linie 71) oder auch im Gasometer
(5 Minuten mit U-Bahn U3) erledigen - dort gibt es auch Restaurants und Kinos.

Sehenswürdigkeiten in der näheren Umgebung:
der barocke Friedhof St. Marx (Mozarts erste letzte Ruhestätte),
Zentralfriedhof (Mozarts zweite letzte Ruhestätte, Ehrengräber vieler
anderer bekannter Persönlichkeiten, Luegerkirche)

Nebenräume:
Küche mit Essplatz ausgestattet mit Gasherd, Mikrowellenherd, Kühlschrank,
Kaffeemaschine, etc. - Geschirr, Gläser, Besteck für 6 Personen ist vorhanden.
Bad mit Dusche; separates WC; Handtücher und Haarfön vorhanden.

Weitere Ausstattung:
Kabel-TV und Radio sowie Lesestoff; Gästewaschmaschine in separatem Raum;
Wäscheständer, Bügeleisen, Bügelbrett; Staubsauger.

Haustiere sind bei uns leider nicht erwünscht.
Wir bitten um Ankunft bis spätestens 20 Uhr.

Der 11. Bezirk ist keine Kurzparkzone; in der Gegend der Dopplergasse ist
öffentliches Parken grundsätzlich ohne Parkgebühr möglich.

Welcome to Simmering !

Our appartment is situated in a quiet neighbourhood of Vienna's 11th
district, not far from the sights of the historic city center.

Public transport / activities:

All major Viennese tourist attractions are within easy reach via public transport - stops
for underground U3 (10 minutes to Stephansplatz / City Center) and tramway line 71
(15 minutes to Belvedere, Ring, Karlsplatz) are located in immediate vicinity.

The area is not a short-term parking zone, so parking is
free.Cyclists will appreciate the cycle tracks leading to city center and
the Prater; secure bike storage space is available.
A park is also close by.

Several supermarkets are in the neighbourhood; bigger shopping can be taken
care of on the local high street, Simmeringer Hauptstrasse with its many shops
(within walking distance), the Einkaufszentrum Simmering shopping mall
(via tramway 71), or at the Gasometer mall with restaurants and
cinemas (via underground U3)

Noteworthy cultural sights of note in the vicinity in the area are Mozart's
first final resting-place at the baroque St. Marx cemetery, and Mozart's
second (and, to date, last) final resting-place at the Zentralfriedhof, also
the location of the tombs of many other famous artists, and the
Art Nouveau Luegerkirche cathedral (via tramway 71)

... a kitchen (equipped with gas cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator,
coffee maker, etc., and washing machine in a separate small room), a
bathroom with shower and hair dryer, and a separate toilet. We provide
bedclothes, towels, and tableware for up to six people; other equipment
includes an electric iron & ironing board and a vacuum cleaner.
